This is one of our favourite restaurants in Nerja and once again having dined there last night (Monday) we were not disappointed. The food was of the usual high standard and my wife, daughter and me, thoroughly enjoyed the grilled salmon, chicken strips and lasagne accompanied by the best fries you will get in Nerja and all washed down with delightful house white wine. The service was excellent and our waitress Annabelle who served us, was friendly, courteous and keen to ensure we were enjoying our meal and at the same time she was doing a great job of supervising the other staff making sure every diner had the benifit of a professional, enjoyable experience. Thanks Annabelle. We will be returning again later this week.😀😋

The story of our house

By the sea, facing the horizon, this restaurant is first and foremost a family story, made of roots, heritage and passion.

Long before settling in Andalusia, the family was already deeply rooted in the restaurant world. In Brussels, Tony and his wife Marie-Rose successfully ran a Spanish restaurant called “El Nerja”, known for its family atmosphere, generous cooking and the close relationship they kept with their guests.

Driven by their love for Spain and the wish to return to their roots, in 2000 they decided to open “Bruxelles” in Nerja — this time by the sea — bringing with them the spirit that had made their Belgian house a success.

From day one, the restaurant was conceived as a place where you feel at home.

Parents and children work side by side, the dining room fills with laughter and conversation, and guests are never just customers: they become regulars and, over time, friends.

Over the years the restaurant has evolved, but its soul remains intact.

In 2015, David Leon took over the family business to carry on the adventure begun by his parents, Tony and Marie-Rose.

Belgian by origin, known for his humour, his jokes and his contagious energy, David has one priority: to pamper his guests and give them an unforgettable moment.

Here you don't just come to eat, you come to share. To share a dish, a glass, a story, in a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The cooking is honest and generous, without artifice: home-style cooking made to bring people together.

Today the story proudly continues. David now works alongside his son, Anthony, welcoming a new generation into this beautiful family adventure without losing the values that have always defined the house.

With a team made up of people from different cultures, the restaurant remains true to what it has always been: not just a table by the sea, but a family home, open to everyone.
